Indeed, there is evidence that the U.S. has a sealed indictment for Assange’s arrest for crimes believed related to treason — even though what is guilty of is publishing documents that threaten business as usual by governments and conglomerates.

Conspiracy theorists have raged about a ‘New World Order’ described on Wikipedia as:

“…A secretive power elite with a globalist agenda is conspiring to eventually rule the world through an authoritarian world government — which replaces sovereign nation-states –and an all-encompassing propaganda that ideologizes its establishment as the culmination of history’s progress.”

The debate and denigration of NWO flourishes on the web, and even entertaining the idea will risk hearing the suggestion that you hang up your tin foil hat. But the lockstep way in which the world’s corporations synchronized their assaults on electronic donations to WikiLeaks give credence to NWO claims. And so does Sweden’s suspicious refusal to interview Assange before he and after he relocated to England. The fear is of course that once Assange is in police custody he’ll be remanded over to the U.S. for prosecution of unidentified charges.

Now Britain is embroiled in the international intrique. After Sweden sought to have Assange extradicted, he challenged the ruling in courts and ultimately lost; he sought asylum in Ecuador’s London embassy before being forced to surrender to police custody. That was two months ago, but as reports began surfacing that Ecuador would grant protection from extradition on humanitarian grounds, Britain threatened to raid the embassy — violating longstanding worldwide diplomatic practices — to gain custody of Assange. The unprecedented threat magnifies fears of an “invisible hand” behind Britain’s dangerous chess game.

“Is this really about the U.S. being the ‘hidden hand’ behind what the British are doing so that they can eventually get a hold of Julian Assange, try him for espionage and put him into a jail?, ” asked Michael Ratner, an attorney for Julian Assange and president emeritus of the Center for Constitutional Rights. “That’s what’s really going on here. Let’s not kid ourselves.”

There’s an invisible war going on in America that only the observant can discern: Americans’ Constitutional rights are shrinking daily due to moneyed interests who have feasted on the nation’s fears post-911 — and our representatives’ addiction to campaign cash. Control of the world’s resources is at the heart of this battle. And while the middle class crashes and burns, the rich get richer and enriching their friends as their vulgar children play idly.
